SCENE ONE
"Thick and Thin"
PCW Interview

(Samoa Joe and John Cena tore the house down, but in the end... the Champ was still here. Samoa Joe's first loss inside a PCW ring, and although it is nothing to be ashamed of, Samoa Joe wasn't happy. He would have no time to rest, as he would be competing at the next pay-per-view simply titled "Calm Before the Storm" where he and The Rock will team together as the top two contenders for Turmoil to take on the top two contenders from Meltdown, them being Edge and Joey Ryan. The time was here, as Calm Before the Storm was shaping up to be one hell of a pay-per-view event. Titles on the line, secrets on the line, and much more, but this night was all about pride for Samoa Joe. Pride and to bring back a good name for himself, but he teams with The Rock... a man he shared a few heated words with backstage one night, but can the two coexist? They would sure as hell try to find a way to do so. Samoa Joe didn't have a lot of momentum going into the event, with his first and only loss just happening the week before, would it be possible that Samoa Joe wasn't thinking straight after that? It's plausible, but Samoa Joe knows that business needs taking care of, and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that he gets his business done. The Rock has been somewhat of a thorn in the side of Samoa Joe in some aspects. Their confrontation a few weeks ago was something big and brought the entire company to it's knees in how serious it was. Two of the arguably biggest forces in PCW... on the same team tonight, but in the long run? That will never last. The night was here. The air was electric. Backstage at the event, we see the PCW Interviewer of sorts (not official, but here for backup reasons, and it being a big event, the extra hand is needed). We see Jeremy Borash standing by. The helpful interviewer is standing backstage next to a backdrop of somesorts. Borash wears a black suit with a darkish red shirt with his collar extended somewhat. He stands in front of the camera with a cheesy smile on his face, as the fans get a bit excited, wanting to see who his guest would be. Would it be John Cena? Jeff Hardy? Or someone else. The answer would be revealed shortly, as Jeremy stood there with microphone in hand and introduced himself to the audience.)

Jeremy Borash // PCW Interviewer:
Hello wrestling fans, JB Jeremy Borash here, backstage at the start of this wonderful Pay-Per-View extravaganza known as Calm Before the Stage. I was invited here by none other than Kurt Angle himself for some of the helping hand, so to speak. My first guest ladies and gentlemen? Well, he is no stranger to me. (Jeremy smiles, as he looks to his left a quick second.) Ladies and Gentlemen... Samoa Joe!

(The fans explodes into a huge reaction of mixed feelings. Within moments, the cameras pan out to reveal Joe standing there with a serious look on his face, wearing a casual dark dress shirt that is untucked and a pair of blue jeans. He has his Samoan necklace around his neck, as he looks Jeremy Borash dead in the eyes. Joe rolls his neck as he snarls and stands there with his arms folded. Jeremy raises the microphone to his lips and asks the first questions.)

Jeremy Borash // PCW Interviewer:
First of all, Joe... last week, you went up against John Cena, and you --(Samoa Joe cuts Jeremy Borash off in mid sentence, grabbing the microphone and pulling it closer to himself. JB nods, as Joe takes center stage for a bit.)

(IMG:http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj177/w-or-k/02.jpg)

Samoa Joe // Samoan Submission Machine:
And I what JB? Came up short? (Jeremy nods his head, as Joe chuckles a bit under his breath for a second). Yeah, Samoa Joe did come up short last week against John Cena, but what happened in that ring was nothing short of greatness. You saw that match JB, you know I am not lying. We both gave it our all in that match, and yeah... I'll be the first to admit - I didn't come out on top, but I gave Cena the biggest fight of his career. I proved that he wasn't immortal after all, didn't I? (Once again, Jeremy would nod, as Joe turned his head a bit to the side.) You see JB, that was my intention. I showed the flaw John Cena possessed... I showed he wasn't immortal. He is beatable, and for many times in that match, I had him beat. But, tonight isn't about that night, now is it? No, Samoa Joe isn't facing John Cena here tonight. Instead, management decided to pull a big twist and force me to team with The Rock. Don't get me wrong... I respect The Rock a lot, he was one of my idols breaking into this business, but the whole concept of a team isn't something Samoa Joe likes to associate himself with. Being apart of a team means you rely on others to help you. Let me tell you something JB... Samoa Joe doesn't need help. I would much rather go out there alone, that way if I somehow come out on the bottom end of things, I would have no one to blame but myself. You see, depending on others shows weakness. You can do anything by yourself that you could do with another person. Despite all that, I will gladly join forces with The Rock. A few weeks ago, when I won that battle royal and became the number one in the Elite 4 Rankings, The Rock and myself had an epic clash at the end, which showed me coming out on top. Going back to that, that night was also one of the reasons I respect The Rock. He is as good as they get, and I have beaten him, but tonight? Tonight is a different story, now isn't it? Instead, we are forced to team, as the top two contenders representing Turmoil to take on the top two of Meltdown, and sorry to say... but I see no real competition here. (Joe chuckles again under his breath as he then folds his arm once more and speaks.) Joey Ryan and Edge are two people that have faced each other twice, I believe... and you can't honestly think for a second that Joey Ryan won't show any jealous toward Edge. I mean, it was just last month that Edge was at the bottom of everything, now look at him... the top of it all. I guarantee Ryan and Edge will be a lot less coexisting as The Rock and myself. You see, business is the first thing Samoa Joe looks to accomplish, and my mission tonight is to take out those two and bring pride to Turmoil... the show where the talent is.

(Samoa Joe pauses for a quick moment, as a small "Joe's Gonna' Kill You" chant begins. Joe smirks as he folds his arms once more, looking down at Jeremy for a second. Some fans cheer, some boo - it's a mixed crowd, but Joe doesn't care. Joe grinned again, as he spoke once more, still trying to keep the momentum there for himself and for his thoughts as well.)

Samoa Joe // Samoan Submission Machine:
Tonight for example... tonight is something great in the career of Samoa Joe. Not only am I guaranteed a title shot for the PCW Heavyweight Championship, but I am the standard to which everyone else on Turmoil must abide by. Everyone else on this roster is below me, and as much as it sounds arrogant, it is the truth. Let's look at the facts here JB. Samoa Joe is the number one superstar on the Turmoil roster. The man that is right behind me is arguably one of the greatest this business has ever seen, you think that isn't something to be a little bit arrogant about? The two of us? The same team? JB... a lot of things are going to happen out there later tonight, and Joey Ryan and Edge are two people that have no business trying to take what is rightfully ours. For months, Meltdown has proclaimed themselves better than Turmoil. JB, let's take a little trip down memory lane a quick second, shall we? You see, when Samoa Joe first signed his name on his contract to compete here in Primetime Championship Wrestling, I was offered to compete in both Turmoil and Meltdown, but only one deserved to have Samoa Joe. A decision I thought was tough at first became more and more clear as time went on. You know why I chose Turmoil, JB? Because Turmoil was the only brand in this company that endorsed violence, and you know how much Samoa Joe enjoys violence. They were the ones that brought the war of brands to Meltdown. They were the ones having the most controversial and violent moments in history. Jimmy Jacobs was the leader and lead his team to a dominate standard above the rest. The decision was clear for me which brand to compete, and which is why tonight is just so special for not only myself, but for the Turmoil roster. The Rock and myself get the chance to bring pride back to Turmoil, and in the exchange... Joey Ryan and Edge get the chance to prove to Meltdown that they are inferior to us. It comes as no surprise that tonight is more about brand dominance than anything, but perhaps my mind isn't all here for this match... perhaps I am thinking about my future title match I have, but the truth is... I'm not. That time will come, and this too shall pass, but for now... Joey Ryan and Edge are the ones I have my sights set on. First off JB, Edge is someone that is so full of himself and up his own ass, it comes as no surprise that he used his complaining to get where he is today. If I recall correctly, wasn't he at the bottom of the bottom just a mere few weeks ago? You see Edge, Samoa Joe has never been on the bottom. He has never been on a slump in his career. You want to talk about how dominate you are? You apparently haven't been tuning in every Thursday to see what I can do. Need I remind you that I took out the seemingly unbeatable Davey Richards? I made him leave on a stretcher and they had to mop up the big puddle of blood. Edge? You're no Davey Richards, and tonight? Well... I exploit that.

(Joe chuckles to himself a bit, as he wipes some sweat off his nose with his thumb. Joe would fold his arms again as he looks at Jeremy Borash once more with a grin on his face. Joe would then roll his neck a bit and look down, breathing through his nose for a quick second very loudly, so loud that even JB is a bit taken back. Joe would laugh as he looks back up into the camera with a grin and would speak.)

(IMG:http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj177/w-or-k/03.jpg)

Samoa Joe // Samoan Submission Machine:
Speaking of Edge, isn't it a bit funny that he is even here tonight? I mean honestly... speaking on a strictly professional level here, all personal feelings aside, what exactly has Edge done to prove himself to be even worthy of representing even Meltdown as the number one slot in the Elite 4? He has done nothing but lose a battle royal and beat Joey Ryan a few times, which is strange, because Joey Ryan is his partner tonight, so what does that say about Edge here? He and Joey Ryan obviously know each other like the back of their hands, but in the wrong way. You see, if you watch Joey Ryan lately, what is he? He's angry. He's pissed off that he went from being at the damn near top to losing to Edge. Edge took his spotlight right from under him and used him a stepping stool to propel himself higher in the division. The bottom line is that Edge used Joey Ryan to make sure his name was in lights and that everyone remembered the name of Edge, and you think that set right with Joey? Honestly? I have a theory that tonight, Joey will finally have enough and turn on Edge, leaving Meltdown behind. The best will get the both of them, and tonight? They'll both let their egos get the best of them, and that will only help us, as if we need it. Honestly JB, tonight is a different change of pace, and it feels great. I have no worries going into that ring tonight, because the ending will be like every other time. Samoa Joe enters the ring with the intention to inflict harm. Samoa Joe enters the ring with the killer instinct that he is known for. I will have no problem spilling the blood of both Edge and Joey Ryan... I will gladly add their blood to my collection. As for The Rock? He is a business man, and he knows that tonight is strictly business, but I hope... I hope he doesn't get in my way, because that'll be the last thing he ever does. (Joe scoffs a bit, chuckling under his breath a bit. He would then unfold his arms and look into the camera with a serious look.) Rocky... tonight, we are partners, but that is for one night only. Samoa Joe doesn't need anyone to look out for him. As far as I am concerned, tonight is only about Turmoil and nothing more. I know you're a smart man, so make smart decisions... don't make dumb ones, because they will come back to bite you on the ass. Rocky... you and I have the power to put an end to Meltdown and bring pride to Turmoil, so let's make good on this word. I know you're watching, for your sake, you best be doing so, because later tonight? Edge and Joey Ryan are our common enemy. Edge? Joey Ryan? You two best be listening too, because I am sending you a WARNING of things to come. Consider this the one and only warning of the pain, suffering and destruction you will feel. Get prepared, because there will be no holding back. Quite honestly? Tonight is going to be really, really fun... not for you two, but for me. I will leave you both passed out on the canvas, gasping for air. I will guarantee a victory tonight. You two will not take that away from me. Last week against John Cena was one time thing, tonight? All that pent up rage gets unleashed and becomes your own person hell!

(Joe folds his arms once more, as this time he gets more serious, taking the microphone directly from the hands of Jeremy Borash and walking closer to the camera. The camera zooms in a bit as we only see Samoa Joe's face, which looks angry as he's ever been. Borash stands to the side off camera, a bit taken back, but listens, as Joe begins to speak again, perhaps for the last time. With a new grin on his face, he then breaths heavily and begins to speak, directly into the camera... and into the souls of the fans and Edge and Joey Ryan, it would seem.)

(IMG:http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj177/w-or-k/04.jpg)

Samoa Joe // Samoan Submission Machine:
The rules were set, and the warning his here... don't say I didn't warn the both of you. You see, when Samoa Joe sets his mind to something, nine times outta' ten, he will accomplish it. Tonight, Turmoil gets a helluva lot stronger in the battle for brand supremacy, as if it weren't strong enough as it is. Tonight, Joey Ryan... you can leave all your gear at home. No need to bring the disco ball or the cheesy jokes, because no one will be having a mustache ride... no one will be cracking jokes today, and the only joke nowadays is what you two will be at the end of the night. That is what you're all about, right Joey? Jokes? Is that what you're all about? You hide behind a gimmick to make yourself feel better. You hide behind that gimmick so people won't see the real you, but I know the real you Joey... I know what you are hiding. Underneath the cocky exterior lies the biggest coward in history. Underneath that, you are nothing more than a coward - someone who is afraid of his own shadow. You use the gimmick to try to hide it, but it came out last week. It came out ever since you went from this big name in PCW to the one everyone wants to use as a stepping stone. Edge already did, so who is next? Who is next to make a name for themselves at your expense? You see... I don't need a gimmick to get the job done. What you see from Samoa Joe is the same Samoa Joe that goes to sleep at night. The Samoa Joe that sets foot inside a ring every week is the same person that provides for his family. This is who I am. I do not hide behind anything. I don't need a gimmick to make people fear me. The old saying says "what you see is what you get" and you have a mask on, so what I see is a fake. Joey Ryan... you are nothing more than a fake, and I will exploit you tonight. As for Edge? You are the worst of the worst. There is no hiding who you really are - you are and will always be an asshole. You have never gave a damn about anything but yourself, and in this business... that is the right move, but to an extent. You see, when you give up your guard, it's easy to penetrate, and trust me Edge... you are weak. There is no cure for your own disease, and tonight? Well tonight... only one thing is for certain. Through thick and thin, only two people will walk out the winners tonight, and as sure as the sun will shine, only one thing is for certain, and that is Joe's gonna [CENSORED] kill you!"

(Joe pushes the camera out of the way with force, as he walks off camera. The fans begin to give off a mixed reaction, but more-so cheers, due to the harsh words against Edge and Joey Ryan. Joe walks off camera as Jeremy Borash is stuck, wondering what just happened. We pan back to the announce position where we continue the pay-per-view with the next match on the card. Samoa Joe made a statement, but will it hold up? Tune in later to find out! Fade.)
